A school created with childhood at the centre.
Creed House is a purpose-built early years school in Kitisuru, Nairobi, created for children aged 1–6. We believe the early years are not a small beginning. They are the foundation for confidence, character, curiosity, language, movement, belonging and lifelong learning.
WHY WE ARE BUILDING THIS
Early childhood deserves better than it usually gets.
In most schools, the first six years are treated as the waiting room. The real teaching, the real thinking, the real investment all arrive later. We think that is exactly backwards. Early childhood is where the foundations are built, and it deserves the same standard of thought, design and teaching that older years take for granted.
So we are building the school we could not find. A school where the spaces are part of the curriculum. Structured without being rigid. Ambitious without rushing children out of childhood. Where play is not what happens between the learning. Play is how the learning happens.
Our ambition is quiet and clear: to raise the standard of early years education in Nairobi, and to give children days worth having. Curious, active, cared for, and their own.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
The child is curious. The child is capable. The child is whole.
Every child arrives at Creed House as someone already full of questions, ideas, emotions, gifts and stories. Our role is not to rush children into becoming who adults think they should be. Our role is to prepare an environment where they can grow with confidence, independence and joy.
We believe children learn through many languages: talking, building, painting, climbing, singing, dancing, negotiating, imagining, questioning and playing. At Creed House, these are not distractions from learning. They are learning.
